Long Beach 2012

     Crazy funny thing happened; we went on vacation.  There is an RV Resort in Long Beach that we have tried to get into a few times with no luck.  We happened to call some time in January and they had the third weekend in June open so we took it.  What a terrific/horrible stay it was! The park itself was pleasant enough, hard to find though.  We could see the Queen Mary and harbor which was nice.

  The dog park was awful and hard to get to.  We arrived late Friday afternoon and plugged everything in and went to dinner at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co..  After settling in for the night the power went out, then we discovered that our RV battery was out as well, so our alarms were beeping all night.  Big Charlie and I finally gave up trying to sleep and got up at 4:30 am.  Needless to say we were at Autozone before it opened.  The Power was out the whole weekend, they had a generator that went in and out but was useless to us.  I never got a chance to blow-dry my hair or curl it all weekend, blah.  Charlie had to boil water on the stove and use coffee tea bags. At least we had propane for the fridge and hot water tank.  Other than that we went all over and had a great time.  


Saturday we went to Santa Monica, 1st to Jinky's Cafe, 2nd to Santa Monica's Farmers Market (Glorious Organic Produce).

Relaxing then drive down to Frosted Cupcakery,  Outback for Dinner.

 Sunday- Beach, Shoreline Village, long walk all the way over to Chili's.  


     I  don't know if we will go back, even though we technically had a great time.  The staff of the Resort was non-existent, no one ever came around to explain what was happening or offer any sort of inconvenience discount.  I am not generally a complainer, but they will receive a letter from me very soon.
