And... We're back!

After a 1 year hiatus, we are back to blogging!  A lot has happened since last summer. Let us catch you up on a few of the happenings.
The kids finished their first full year of homeschooling, which was the last year of elementary for Charlie and last year of middle school for Molly.  We Threw them a Graduation party in the beginning of August to celebrate this advancement in life. So we have been receiving and setting up curriculum and classroom space for our new school year which begins this coming Monday! Yay, I love getting back to routine.  Having a son who is bored out of his mind and runs out of things to play with and books to read by 11 a.m. gets old real fast.  Charlie Jr. played rec baseball for his third season and finally made his first Hit, which was a Triple! Way to go Charlie!
Vacations: 1. We took a short trip to San Diego.  We try to get Giants vs. Padres baseball tickets at Petco Park once a year.  Molly had gotten Seaworld tickets for Christmas so we were able to do that as well.

Sedona
2. My husband thought it would be a hoot to kidnap me for our 15th Anniversary and take me to Sedona Arizona where we had our 1st Anniversary.  When I woke up the morning before our Anniversary and realized he was still in bed, I panicked and tried to make him get up for work. Surprise, he yells, like I'm suppose to be excited at 6 a.m. to rise, eat, pack clothes and food, pack the kids, without any warning at all. I survived the shock and we were on our way.  Thank you by the way to Dinzel and Marilyn for watching the kids while were away.  We had a nice three days away, got a couples massage and just enjoyed the scenery. He was pleased that he pulled off such a huge secret.
Spa Day

We lost both of Big Charlie's Grandparents as well as four other close people in a short span of time, so that was rough to deal with in the middle of everything else going on.  We have also had a handful of brand new babies born as well.  The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.
And finally, We Moved!  We were ever so kindly asked to leave our former rental house by the new owner.  So ensued the panic and stress of searching, finding a house, losing house, finding house #2, entering escrow, walking away from house #2, going back to 1st house that was now back on market.  We ended up with the first house that we put an offer on, which is the Home we really wanted. After Mountains of paperwork and waiting and packing our escrow finally closed late on a Thursday night.  We already had planned our move that next Friday morning expecting to be closed mush sooner, so we closed just in the nick of time.  We are now finally (mostly) settled.  There are not any pictures on the wall yet, but the kitchen is fully set up so that's all that matters to Molly and I. What I find funny is that We now live in the same neighborhood as our former landlord. We had lived in the country house in for 10 years and that was the only home our kids have only really known growing up, but they are happy here now. 10 years of driving back and forth to town takes a toll on one's body, car, and wallet.  What a shocking contrast it is, to now living in a Country Club in town 5 minutes from almost every place we go, it will still take some time for the novelty to wear off.
We are looking forward to the year ahead, Especially our first holidays in our new home.  Stay tuned for all of our newest adventures.
